Ada D. Smet (Gustavus) age 91 of Oshkosh died December 25, 2011 at her residence. Ada was born February 6, 1920 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Joseph and Ada (Crittenden) Gustavus. On December 13, 1941 Ada married Clarence Smet. Clarence preceded Ada in death in September of 1966. Ada's parents and 5 of her siblings also preceded her in death.
Ada is survived by her three children; Gerald (Patricia) Smet of Fond du Lac, Joanne Kemink of Oshkosh, and Judy Lawe of Keewatin, MN. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Scott (Barb) Smet, James (Roxanne) Smet, David Smet, Dawn (Jerry) Saulsbury, Brian Smet, Michael aka Cookie (fiancée Lindsay) Smet, and Richard Parish. Also survived by 22 great grandchildren-11 boys, and 11 girls, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Ada is also survived by her best friend of seventy years Mary Hintz, and the Hintz family who for many years ran Skateland in North Fond du Lac.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on December 28, 2011 with visitation from 1p.m until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be on December 29, 2011 at Lake View Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m.
