Adeline Markofski was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on September 22, 2015, at Bethel Home, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Adeline was born to Louie and Emelie (Heckert) Deibert on September 8, 1919, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, and was married to Eugene L. Markofski at St. Michael's Parish in Berlin. They later divorced. Adeline was employed at the Milwaukee Journal, Milwaukee Public Museum, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company cafeterias. She enjoyed cooking, making salads, baking, sewing, quilting, and watching the Packer games. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Anne (Ronald C.) Kohls of Oshkosh, Kay Marie Jeske of Pine River, and Shirley Jean Dentici; a son, Kenneth E. (Laurel) Markofski of Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Katherine S. Laabs, Steven (Cindi) Kohls of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Diana P. (Wendell) Kohls-Meyer, Scott (Kathy) Markofski, Lisa (Frank) Combs, Michael Markofski of Appleton, Eric (Anne) Markofski of Milwaukee, Roxanne Jeske of Wild Rose, and Rosemary (Joshua) Shulfer of Waupaca; her great-grandchildren, Robbie S. Kohls of Ripon, Katelynn Kohls of Alexandria, Minnesota, Johnathon S. Kohls of Alexandria, Minnesota, Jami Ayub of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kimberly Kohls of North Prairie, Jason M. Lowrey, Joel R. Lowrey, Joseph (Mayra) Brink of Ripon, Richard (Stephanie) Kohls, Astra (Allen) Glover of Alabama, Kristina (Rick) Skiba of Colorado, Elijah Meyer of Weyauwega, Rebakah Meyer of Weyauwega, Ben Combs, Zach Combs, Brianne Markofski, Berklee Markofski, Laurelanne Markofski, William Markofski of Oshkosh, Amber Markofski of Appleton, and Alexander R. Shulfer; her great-great-grandchildren, Scott M. Lenz, Jessica Kohls, Ashley Kohls, Samuel D. Brink, Jasmin Martinez, Alexander C. Kohls, Dezaray Murphy, Annabelle Glover, Alexander Skiba, Samuel Skiba, Holden Skiba, and Kamyah Markofski; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Deibert and Sharon Deibert.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Adeline was preceded in death by her former husband, Eugene, in 1977; her two sons David M. and Daniel J. Markofski; her parents; her siblings, Lorraine Huth, Elmer Deibert, Leonard Deibert, Evelyn Berres; a son-in-law, John Dentici Jr.; a grandson-in-law, Paul D. Meyer; and Eugene's 17 brothers and sisters. Her family extends special thanks to all the staff at Bethel Home in giving her love and respectful dignity. Thank you to all the chaplains who visited and our sincere gratitude to the Affinity Visiting Nurses and Hospice Team for their caring support. As per Adeline's wishes a private family funeral memorial service will be held October 3, 2015. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial is being established in her name in lieu of flowers. God's gift to us is Jesus.
