Alan Richard Van Ornum, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at home, on May 16, 2026, in Redgranite, WI. He was born on February 8, 1968, to parents, Roger Van Ornum and Cheryl Olsen, in Berlin, WI.
After graduating from Wautoma High School, he went on to attend some college and continued on as an ironworker in the Union. Alan built bridges in Wisconsin for over 20 years.
In 2005, he married the love of his life, Anita Ann Gutjahr. Together, they were able to spend 20 years together.
Alan enjoyed farming, hunting and trapping. He also owned a fishing farm with his brother. He loved to spend time with his family and his dogs- especially his companion dog, Trippsie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Van Ornum; father, Roger Van Ornum; mother, Cheryl (Paul) Olsen; brother, Keith (Pamela) Van Ornum; nieces, Rae Marie (Justin) Miller and Haley Mae; nephew, Maddox; and brothers-in-law, Robert “Bob” Gutjahr, Joe (Mary) Crum and Gary (Lisa) Gutjahr; and sister-in-law, Theresa (John) Serrano. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, close friend, Paul Rew and many special friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; and his cousin, Danny.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his honor.
