Alvin R. Jones, age 76, of Oshkosh, died peacefully Saturday morning, August 8, 2009, at Park View Health Center. He was born on May 28, 1933, the son of Alvin R. and Hazel M. (Howe) Jones. Alvin had worked for and retired from Total Floor Covering. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and putting puzzles together. He especially loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Alvin is survived by his children, Chuck Jones of Omro, Kerry (Alice) Jones of Oshkosh, Rodney (Vicky) Jones of Omro and Darlene Jones of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex) Becerra, Nicholas (Natalie) Nitz, Amy Nitz, Wendy (fiancé Troy) Nitz and Melissa Jones; great grandchildren, Analaya, Jasmine, Kaia, Bohdon, Lucas and Wesley; one sister, June Plante; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 Noon with Kathi Miller officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Park View Nurses and staff, Jan Anderson and Brian Naegler for all the care and compassion shown Alvin and the rest of his family.
