Amber Marie Bushman passed away very peacefully at her home in Waupaca, surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 10, 2004. She was born the Daughter of Bonnie Webb, (Michael Rogan) and Mark Bushman (Ester) on December 11, 1979 in Appleton, WI.
Amber was one of the first children in Wisconsin to receive a liver transplant in 1988 at University Hospital in Madison. This milestone surgery was performed by Dr. Munci Kalaoglu and his team. She also was the first patient to be in the clinical trial for the anti-rejection medication FK506 (prograf). Unfortunately a little over a year later, she was in need of a second transplant which was performed in 1989. Following this transplant, she thrived for 11 years, attended her senior prom, and graduated in 1998 from Waupaca High School. In late 1999 she fell ill again, and in January 2000 was blessed with a third liver transplant; all thanks to Dr. Munci Kalaoglu and his amazing team along with the loving care and support from the multitude of staff at University Hospital, Madison, WI.
She is survived by her parents; Bonnie Webb (Michael Rogan) of Waupaca and Mark (Ester) of Little Chute, brothers; Thomas Llewellyn of Kenosha, & Russell Webb of Spartanburg, SC, half siblings; Anthony Bushman & Lindsey Bushman both of Little Chute, nephew; Zachary Llewellyn, and niece; Paige Llewellyn of Kenosha, Aunts & Uncles; Susan (John) Garthwaite of Sussex, Patricia (Michael Flood) Schroeder of Fond du Lac, Mary Feathers of Oshkosh, John (Stacy) Burdick of Oshkosh, Linda (Brad) Geffers of Winneconne, Jenny (David) Clark of Oshkosh, Louis Beck of Oshkosh, Trudy (Todd) Stager of Little Chute, Lesa (Wayne) Appleton of Kimberly, Andrea (Peter) Rudolph of Little Chute, Pat (Bill) Morgan of Little Chute, Norm (Karen) Bushman of Mt.
