Arnold W. Eversfield, age 91 of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center., Oshkosh. Arnold was born near Toronto, Canada on March 22, 1916, the son of Herbert and Ada Eversfield. While living in Canada, Arn met Alberta Florence Rea, and they were married on January 17, 1948. Arn had been a flight trainer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and became a corporate pilot for KC-Aviation when he and Berta moved their family to Wisconsin in 1956. "Arnie" was an avid golfer who still enjoyed walking the course at the Oshkosh Country Club. Arn was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and valued his parish family and his active study of religion and the Bible.
Arnold is survived by his sisters, Thelma Woodhouse of Toronto, Canada, and Dorothy Cousins of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; his brother-in-law, Doug Rea of Toronto, Canada; his children, John (Pamela) Eversfield of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, and Margaret (Dale) Krzyzanowski of Merrill, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Andrew (Shana) Eversfield of Chicago, Illinois, and Anne Eversfield of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; and his many wonderful friends near and far.
Arnold is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alberta.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 203 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at 2:00 P.M., The Reverend Steven E. Powers officiating. Visitation will be held at the church in the hour prior to the service and during a reception immediately following the service.
