Barbara "Betty" Polar, age 82, of Neenah, died on May 16, 2013, surrounded by her family at Valley VNA, Neenah, WI . Betty was born January 12, 1931, in Germany the daughter of the late Benedik and Paulina Merdinger. Betty worked for 22 years at Wisconsin Tissue Mill retiring in 1993.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children: Ruby (Manfred) Mueller of Germany, Charlie (Terry) Polar, Bennie (Jill) Polar, Ronnie (Marie) Polar, Sherry (Jim) Tootle, Michael Polar all of Neenah, Janice (Connie) Polar of Appleton, and Bryan (Pam) Polar of Appleton. Betty is further survived by her siblings in Germany and her daughter in law Debbie (Mark) Drier of Kimberly. Betty was a grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, and a great grandmother to thirteen great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents, one daughter Patricia, two sons, Allen and Art, two grandsons Jake and James, and one daughter in law Elizabeth.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday May 23, 2013, at Wichmann Funeral Home-TriCounty Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha from noon until the time of the memorial service at 1:00pm with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating.
