Bernadeen A. Luedtke, age 78, passed away peacefully with her three daughters by her side on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born in Green Bay on May 19, 1939 to the late Anthony and Marie (Rohr) Vande Hei. After graduating from Green Bay West High School, she was in the travel industry as an office manager for most of her working years. Berni had a lifelong passion for singing and dancing. In addition to performing in plays and musicals, in the 1960's she started the Youth Dance Program in the City of Ashwaubenon. She was a choir director for Nativity Parish for many years and shared her angelic voice at weddings and funerals.
Berni always had a love for travel. Her favorite destinations were visiting family throughout the United States and Costa Rica. Some of Berni's most treasured memories were those made by spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her giving heart, contagious sense of humor, and the joy she had for making people happy.
Berni is survived by her husband, Ronald Luedtke of Tucson, AZ; daughters: Dina (Ron) Doucet of Costa Rica, Donette (Rick) Phillips of Oshkosh, Jaime Schule of Roseville, CA; step-children: Deanna (Cary) Dikinis, and Ronald and Bob Luedtke, all of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Justin (fiancée, Tiffany Smith) Phillips, Toni (special friend, Ebisa Godana) Phillips, Rylie (special friend, Haley Sorensen) Schule and Brielle Schule; step-granddaughter, Amber Luedtke; great-grandchildren: Carter Mae, Brandon and Evelyn; sister, Geraldeen Montevideo; nephews and niece: Todd (Dawn) Montevideo, Teri (John) Ehlinger and Troy (Kalin) Montevideo; great nieces and nephews: Brianna, Ryan, Maria, Johnny, and Hayden; her extended Costa Rican Family; her beloved Tinkerbell and her many grand dogs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James F. Wigman; her parents; and her brother-in-law: John Montevideo.
Upon Berni's request, a private family gathering will be held.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Edenbrook Assisted Living, along with Heartland Hospice for their immense love, passion, and care for Bernadeen and her family.
A memorial fund in Bernadeen's name is being established for medical expenses and may be directed to her daughter Jaime Schule, 1021 Shenencock Way, Roseville, CA 95747.
