Bernard M. Guelig, age 55 of Eden, died unexpectedly on Saturday March 14, 2009 at his home. He was born in St. Cloud, WI on January 5, 1954 the son of Harold and Mary Pitzen Guelig. On June 8, 1974 he married Mary Jean Bittner. Bernie drove semi for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on his farm and most of all spending time with his family, especially with his grandkids. Bernie is survived by his wife Mary Jean, his twin children; Tammy and Timothy Guelig, both of Eden, five grandchildren; Mitchell, Mandy, Tony, Karina and Kylee, his parents, Harold and Mary, two sisters; Patricia (Dennis) Van Handel of Appleton, Marion (Patrick) Dreikosen of Las Vegas, NV, three brothers; Stephen (Amy)and John (Tammy) both of Fond du Lac, Robert (Kate) of Eden, his mother-in-law; Virginia Bittner of Eden, one brother-in-law; James (Lucy) Bittner of Athens, WI, one sister-in-law; Ann (Donald) Rentmeester of Plymouth, WI, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul and his father-in-law Lee Bittner. A private family service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the Paramedic Units from Eden/Mt. Calvary and Fond du Lac County for all of their assistance. Bernie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
