Bert L. Flint Jr. of Madison, WI died peacefully in his sleep on April 5, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. Bert grew up in Madison and served in WW II in the 1St Infantry Battalion, where he served in the Pacific Theater, earning two purple hearts. Bert was a union mason by trade and traveled the country, following the work around the United States. He was a gypsy at heart.
Bert is survived by his sister, June Wagner, Oshkosh, WI; one daughter, Trudy Miller, Hendersonville, NC; one son, Mark Flint, Cheyenne WY; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Sr. and Clarabelle Flint; two sisters, Mildred Livingston and Katherine Eckes; and two sons, Bradley and Kim Flint.
A memorial service with military rites will be held at Lake Edge United Church of Christ, Madison, WI on Saturday April 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. A reception will immediately follow the service at church. Family was assisted by The Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Services of Oshkosh, WI.
