Beth was the daughter of Elroy and Donna (Kohl) Rahmlow. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, as well as aunts and uncles.
Beth is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward Oesterreich Sr., whom she married on March 21, 1975. Their love was one that could be described as straight out of a storybook, filled with laughter, companionship, and a deep bond that inspired everyone around them. They were recently blessed to be able to celebrate their 50th anniversary together.
Beth is also survived by and was a proud mother to her children: Chad (Jody) Oesterreich, Brittany Oesterreich, and Michele (Joe) Oesterreich, a cherished Sister to Becky (Ray) Bor-Dyer, Grandmother of four and Great Grandmother of five and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In her younger years, Beth found joy spending time on the lake fishing with her husband. More recently, she enjoyed coloring in her adult coloring books, puzzles and nature – especially hummingbirds. Beth loved all animals and had a very special fondness for her ragdoll cats, Thor and Romeo, who were her companions and brought her great comfort.
Beth will be remembered not only for her love of family and animals but also for her open heartedness. She had an incredible ability to offer great advice without passing judgment, earning her the respect and affection of many. Her door was always open, welcoming family and friends into her home, where they would find solace and a listening ear. To all who knew her, Beth was more than just a wife, mother, grandmother, mamacita, gigi or friend—she was our Matriarch.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU doctors and staff at Ascension Mercy Medical Center, Special family members that would stay at the house, and the team at Compassus Hospice, especially Stephanie, for their compassionate care during her last days. Their kindness and support made a difficult journey easier to bear.
