Bonita M. (Neis, Keough) Crawford, age 69, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on May 1, 2013, at Parkview Health Center. Bonita was born on September 2, 1943, in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Ben and Loretta (Schilhabel) Neis (Frey). Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Beaver Dam high school. On September 8, 1962, she married James Keough and had four children who were raised in Waupun. Bonnie was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan. She cherished the church groups and singles clubs she belonged to and the friends she made there. Bonnie was diagnosed on April 11, 2013, with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Those left to mourn Bonnie's death are her daughters; Colleen (Dave Braun) Keough, Christine Keough, and Kelly (Terry) Helfrich, her sisters; Patricia (Sam)Maust of Sacramento, CA and Beverly Yaple of Longview, WA along with their children and her good friend Vern Ratchman. Bonnie is further survived by her treasured grandchildren; Hannah, Abigail, and Maxwell Helfrich of Oshkosh. Waiting for Bonnie on the other side were her beloved son, Kurtis, her parents, several good friends and family members.
Memorial visitation Monday May 6, 2013, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh, from 4:00pm until the Memorial Mass at 7:00pm with Father Doug LeCaptain officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest with her parents in St. Peter's Cemetery, Beaver Dam at a later date.
