Bonnie T. Anderson passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Aurora Hospital, Oshkosh, following a short illness. Bonnie was born September 5, 1934 in Racine, Wisconsin to Howard and Leone (Goebel) Rehl. On February 7, 1953, in Racine, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward. They moved to Oshkosh in 1969, when Ed was employed as a UW-Oshkosh faculty member. They celebrated 58 years of marriage this past February.
He survives along with two children, daughter, Kathie (Dan) Lamiesz, of Oshkosh, her pride and joy granddaughter, Mandy, of St. Petersburg, Florida; and a son, Mike (Nancy) of Louisa, Virginia, with step-grandsons, Mark (Ashley) Rosson and Michael (Claire) Rosson and two step-great-grandsons, Wesley and Garrett Rosson, all of Virginia. An only child, she was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles.
Bonnie was a dancing school teacher and was employed at Western Publishing Company in Racine. While Ed was in graduate school in Lansing, Michigan, she did child care for the children of the Champion Spark Plug family. Once Mike and Kathie were born, she was a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed dancing, reading, traveling, and sports. She was an avid Packer, Badger, and Brewers fan. She also was the number one fan of the Oshkosh Ambassadors Senior Softball Team, which Ed founded in 1992. She enjoyed the many state and national tournaments that they traveled to.
Bonnie was a kind and caring person. She was always proud of her appearance; wherever she went she was always dressed to the nines. Per her wishes, a private family gathering will celebrate her life.
