Bonnie Montgomery 1953-2026

Bonnie was a strong-spirited, generous and fiercely loving Christian woman, whose faith, resilience and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her.

Her spirit ultimately outlived her physical body, and she passed away on June 24, 2026, following complications from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). A rare neurodegenerative disease.

While PSP became a significant part of Bonnie’s journey; it never defined who she was. Instead, it revealed only a glimpse of the extradentary grit, courage and strength she carried every day. She faced her illness with remarkable determination, inspiring those around her through her perseverance and faith.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, Curt Schnese, whose unconditional love and steadfast care were a true testament to the meaning of marriage. Through every challenge, Curt remained faithfully by her side, serving as both her loving husband and dedicated caregiver. His compassion and sacrifice can never be fully expressed in words.

She is also survived by her only daughter, Brittany (Paul) Coveyou, who is forever grateful for the immeasurable love, support and guidance her mother gave throughout her life. Bonnie’s beloved granddaughter, Ambria Coveyou, was one of the greatest joys of her life and a constant source of motivation that gave her the strength to keep fighting.

Bonnie also leaves behind her loving sister, Carol Kossel, who was a constant source of encouragement, love and support, and her niece, Kelli Miller, whose love meant so much to her.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Church Youth Group. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Pentecostal of the Fox Cities, 1445 Midway Road, Menasha, WI. Visitation will be from 10:30am until 12:00pm. The service will be held at 12:00pm at the Church.

Her final resting place will be at Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery.
