Brett Eliott Stephenson, 49, took his first step on his next journey on Friday, October 23rd, 2015. Brett was born in Marquette, MI to Robert and Ann Stephenson. He graduated from Marquette Senior High and attended UW-Stevens Point. He married Julia Netzer on August 14th, 1999 in Oshkosh.Brett's two great talents and passions were music and cooking. A gifted musician, he enjoyed playing with several bands in Stevens Point and Oshkosh. He used his culinary skills at numerous restaurants to support his music habit. He was employed at Winnebago Correctional Center.Brett is deeply missed by Julie; Daughter, Audrey; Mother-in-law, Bernadette Netzer; Brothers, Richard (Susan York) Stephenson and Scott (Michele) Stephenson and their daughters, Carly and Jordann; Sister, Jennifer (Matthew) Dubreuil; Brothers-in-law and Sisters–in-law: Don (Charlene) Netzer, Henry (Jeanne) Netzer, John (Pam) Netzer, Mary (Gary) Schumann, Phil (Steph) Netzer; many cherished nieces and nephews, best bud Ed, and canine companion, Abe. He was preceded in death by his parents.A gathering to celebrate Brett's life will be held at Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Services, 3026 Jackson St., Oshkosh, Friday, October 30th, 2015 from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. To honor his impact on us, please wear Packer, Red Wing, or tie-dye apparel.
