Obituary

Bruce J. Berger, age 72, passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 8, 2018 after a year long battle to recover from a surgical procedure.

Bruce was a 1964 graduate of Lourdes Academy and served his country shortly after that as a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cottage in Poy Sippi. Bruce spent his entire working career in Oshkosh at Rockwell International. While at Rockwell, Bruce was an active union member and fought hard to ensure his family and those of his co-workers received the best benefits possible.

Bruce spent his retirement in the town of Omro where he enjoyed visiting the local watering holes and sharing a beer and conversation with friends.

Bruce will be missed by family and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Dorothy; son Brucie; and brothers: Jack, Steven (Nancy), and Frank (Deb).

Bruce is survived by his wife, Patricia; brother Jim (Kris); sons, Brian and Brad (Megan); daughter Angie (David) Wild; and the joys of his life, his grandchildren: Jack and Grant Berger and Charlie, Lauren and Clara Wild.

If you wish to honor Bruce, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Otter Street Fishing Club or Park View Health Center.

The family would like to thank the Park View Health Center staff for the above and beyond care given to Bruce. He truly enjoyed his time with you and we are forever grateful.

An open gathering will be held for anyone wanting to share a story about Bruce at Primo on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
