Carol J. Hershberger, age 67, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly February 6, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. Carol was born in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Harley and Arlene (Steckbauer) Anklam. Carol married Lonnie G. Hershberger in Oshkosh at Sacred Heart Church on September 17, 1966. Carol's hobbies were arts and crafts especially painting, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to mourn Carol's passing are her husband of 47 years Lonnie, her daughters; Deborah (Kirk Garb) Hershberger, of Chippewa Falls, Julie (Cory) Stellmacher of Oshkosh, Jennifer (Joe) Geer, of Oshkosh, and Kimberly Hershberger, of Oshkosh her sons; Daniel Hershberger, of Oshkosh, Jon Hershberger, of Oshkosh, and Michael (Ashley Theabo) Hershberger of Oshkosh, her mother, Arlene Anklam of Oshkosh, and her brother James (Peggy) Anklam of Oshkosh.
Carol was a loving grandmother of 18 grandchildren, and proud great grandmother of one great grandchild. Carol is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her father Harley.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 11, 2013, at 1:00PM at Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Services, 3026 Jackson St. Oshkosh until time of the memorial service at 3:00PM with Father William Van De Kreeke officiating.
