Charlotte M. Hyler, age 73, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on September 6, 1941, in Wakefield, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Lempi (Hakala) Koivu, Charlotte married Garland Hyler on November 12, 1960, and he preceded her in death in 2006. A 1959 graduate of Wakefield High School in Michigan, Charlotte graduated from Northern Michigan University in September of 1960 as a nurse. She was employed by Park View Health Center until her retirement. Charlotte was a life-long member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and friends at her cabin on Lake Gogebic in the U.P. Charlotte's greatest joy was spending time and vacationing with her grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Todd (Terri) Hyler of Oshkosh, Scott (Jeanette) Hyler of Oshkosh, and Robert Jeffers of Oshkosh; two grandsons, David Decker of Oshkosh and Dylan Hyler of Oshkosh; one sister, Judy Koivu and Goro Tomaru of Milford, Pennsylvania; and a brother-in-law, Leo Chantelois of Menasha. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Services, 3026 Jackson Street, with Reverend Timothy Routh officiating. A time to visit and share memories will be held on Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
