Christine M. Akin, age 44 of Oshkosh, passed away on July 24, 2010 at home due to complications from diabetes. She was born in Oshkosh on October 17, 1965 the daughter of Kenneth and Marge (Paulick) Schmiedel. Tina graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1984, and enjoyed being a CNA at Shelter Village in Ripon. She loved her grandchildren and always had a smile on her face regardless of what life handed her. Survivors include her two daughters; Jessica Stutz of Oshkosh and Hayli Phelps of Madison, father Kenneth Schmiedel of Oshkosh and Marge Schmiedel of Oshkosh, two grandchildren; Ayden Krause of Oshkosh and Tiana Coleman of Madison, two brothers; Bruce Schmiedel and Steven (Kim) Schmiedel all of Oshkosh, three sisters; Linda (Bob) Lambert, Julie (Rick) Robl and Amy (Glenn) Anderson all of Oshkosh, special friend Ray Froehlich, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Tina's Life will be held at Fox Cities Funeral Home from 3-5:00 pm. A special thanks to all the healthcare providers who helped her through her 35 year battle with diabetes
