Christopher J. Amundson, age 24, of Oshkosh, died December 30, 2007 at ChildrenÂ's Hospital in Milwaukee. Chris was a humble young man who courageously fought and battled cancer since the age of 15. He was born October 15, 1983 in Oshkosh, the son of Brian and Kathleen (Dillman) Amundson. Chris loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He recently lived the dream of a life time by partaking in a hunting and fishing trip to Florida. This trip was funded through the generosity of The Brett Favre Fourward Foundation. During this trip, Chris shot a 400-pound deer stag and caught numerous bass while fishing. In addition to hunting and fishing, Chris also enjoyed bowling and shooting pool.
Chris is loved and will be missed by his parents, Brian and Kathleen; brother, Shannon (Nicole Jahnke), his great grandmother whom he lived with, Genevieve "Dolly" Burton; and grandparents, Ken and Bernice Amundson. Chris is further survived by his special aunt and uncle, Barb and George Luchinski; uncle Donald Dillman; great uncle Robert Boese; his cousins, Julie Nast and her children, Aaron and Megan; Rick (Janel) Nast and their children, Heidi, Nick, Alyssa, Kendra and Krystin; and Kenneth Nast; other relatives and many friends.
