Claire L. "Kookie" McKay, age 69, of Van Dyne, died November 27, 2012, at her residence with her family by her side. Claire was born August 17, 1943, in Oshkosh the daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Stenson) Elmer. Kookie married John "Jack" McKay on October 7, 1961, in Marion, Wisconsin. Kookie was a hair dresser for 45 years until her illness prevented her from working.
Those left to mourn Kookie's death are her husband of 51 years, John, her son Jack Scott (Teresa), and four grandchildren. Kookie was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Dorothy, her sister, Sandy, her daughter Wendy, and son John.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Services, 3026 Jackson St. Oshkosh on December 3, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. until the memorial service at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rick Hopkins officiating.
