Colretta K. Dawson, age 75, of Oshkosh died Saturday June 8, 2013, at Eden Meadows with her loving daughter in law Sarah at her side. Colretta was born in Oshkosh on October 20, 1937, in Oshkosh the daughter of Wesley and Maria Dawson. Colretta married Martin Wells on December 17, 1971; he preceded her in death on May 30, 2012. Colretta was an excellent cook; she enjoyed collecting knick knacks, and was very skilled at sewing and knitting.
Colretta will be lovingly missed by her children; Samantha Gosser-Bernal, John Alaniz, Frank (Mary) Alaniz, Carol (Jeff) Martinez, Maria (Skip) Nabergal, Barbara Scanlan, and Tony (Sarah) Alaniz. Colretta will be further missed by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Colretta's dog Baby Girl will also miss her companionship.
Private family services will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
Please do not cry for me for I no longer am in pain. Just remember me on Mother's Day for it is my day.
