Obituary
Connie Lynn McMaugh, 72, passed away unexpectedly in Sheboygan, WI on February 2, 2024. She was born in Wisconsin to Bernard and June Ertel.
Connie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Spanish. She went on to obtain a Master's degree in Spanish from New York University. She worked for the US Government with a career in Intelligence. She also taught Spanish at Louisa High School in Louisa, Virginia. Connie enjoyed making porcelain dolls and their clothes, making art, and refinishing furniture. She was an incredibly artistic, creative and intelligent person who loved her children and grandchildren to a fault. She loved her horses, having four of them, three Arabs and one quarter-Arab she raised from a colt. She also loved her many chickens and gathering eggs to give away to family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Earl McMaugh; sons, Marco A. Mireles of Virginia and Christopher J. McMaugh of St. Augustine Beach, Florida; sister, Wendy S. Ertel-Bernard of Alabama; and her favorite person in the world, Sarah Einik in Israel; she is further survived by many grandchildren, and other friends and family.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place.
