Corrine J. (Kerwin) Gerster, age 61, of Oshkosh, went to her eternal resting place January 2, 2015. Corrine was born in Oshkosh on April 25, 1953. This was a very special day as she shared her birthday with her mother and grandmother. She was the daughter of Jerome and Betty (Jungwirth) Kerwin. Survivors include special friends Richard Jungck, Daniel Gerster and Mary; son, Michael Jungck and grandson, Braedon Jungck, both of Oshkosh; her mother, Betty Kerwin of Oshkosh; three sisters, Cindy Braun, Ann (Jerry) Frey, and Tina Kerwin, all of Oshkosh; a brother, Will Kerwin of Oshkosh; and many nieces and nephews. Corrine is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Kerwin; a brother, John Kerwin; her grandparents, Harold and Mildred (Ahrens) Kerwin, and Josephine Jungwirth; and two nephews, Kylie and Corey. Corrine was active in the U.S. Marine Corps and a life member of the Marine Corp League. She turned her home into an Adult Foster Care Home early on then switched to Foster Care for Children and through the years Corrine adopted some of the boys. She was the owner of Bottoms Up Tavern for a short time before moving to Presque Isle. Corrine liked to shop, travel, spending time with her family and friends, and really loved spending time with her grandson, Braedon. A memorial gathering for Corrine will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fox Cities Funeral and Cremation Service, 3026 Jackson Street in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
