Dale Gene Christel, age 65, of Chilton, passed away on May 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Dale was born on July 24, 1950, son of the late Eugene and Elaine (Koeser) Christel. He attended Kiel High School. On July 28, 1970, he married Sandra Schwarz in New Holstein, Wisconsin. They later divorced. Dale was a longtime owner of the Marsh Inn, in Collins, Wisconsin. He loved to fish, hunt, golf, spend time with his family, and watch sports, especially the Chicago Cubs.Dale is survived by his children: Tammy Valleskey (Ryan Krueger) of Valders, WI, Keith Christel (Kathy Wochinski) of Greenville, and Dale (Stacie) Christel Jr of Green Bay, WI; grandsons: Tyler, Alex, and Jared Valleskey of Valders, WI; his former spouse, Sandra Christel of Chilton, WI; brothers: Roger Christel of Manitowoc, WI, and Scott (Lori) Christel of Valders, WI; nieces and nephews: Angie Houston of Valders, Eric Christel of DePere, Jessica Christel of Sheboygan, Jana Brown of Green Bay, and Sydney Christel of Valders, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.Per Dale's wishes, he will be cremated and no funeral services will be held. A memorial fund is being established in his name, and may be sent to his daughter, Tammy. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton, St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Affinity Hospice of Neenah, and all staff at Colonial Residence in Chilton for their wonderful care of Dale, as well as Fox Cities Funeral and Cremation Services for their help and support.
