Daniel Lee Steeber "Goober"
Daniel L. Steeber, age 49 of Oshkosh, left this world on May 8, 2007, to go to the big fishing hole in the sky. He was born in Manitowoc on August 3, 1957, the son of Aloysius and Elaine (Korbal) Steeber. Dan was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsmen, who enjoyed shooting darts, throwing horseshoes, and generally was a "jack of all trades". Survivors include his daughter, Jasmine Steeber, Oshkosh; ten brothers and sisters; Robert Steeber, St. Nazianz; Helen (Kenneth) Gebhart, Manitowoc; James Steeber, Neenah; Diane (Mike) Blenke, Appleton; Tom Steeber, Oshkosh; John (Laura) Steeber, Manitowoc; Paul (Roxy) Steeber, Kiel; Ann (Phil) Schad, Libby, Montana; Glen Steeber, Sheboygan; Bruce (Laurie) Steeber, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives, great fishing buddies, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering and visitation will be held at Fox Cities Funeral Home, from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, on Saturday May 12, 2007, with a time of remembrance at 12:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. A special thanks to the nurses of Affinity Hospice for their compassionate care given to Dan and his family.
