Obituary
Darlene Ann (Wilde) Kumbier, age 82, passed away with her family by her side on May 2, 2025, in Oshkosh, WI. She was born on December 5, 1942, to parents, Alton and Rhea (Jahnke) Wilde in Oshkosh, WI.
She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1960. After high school, she married the love of her life, Robert M. Kumbier on July 21, 1961, in Oshkosh. Together, they raised four children.
Darlene was a homemaker until all of the kids went full time to school. She then took on a position at SNC. Then went on to work at Oshkosh B' Gosh, Badger Lumber, Lenox, WG & R, and the Oshkosh School District even after retirement.
She enjoyed baking, watching stock car racing and watching wrestling with her grandsons. Family meant everything to her, she loved her grandchildren just as much as her own children.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Bob) Hansen, Brian (Cindy Berg) Kumbier and Karen (Dan) Bramer; grandchildren, Adrienna (Drew), Camille, Kaleb, Jared (Michelle), Greg (Charisma), Colten (Ashley), Mckenzie (Nate H.), John (Ashley), Cameron (Jaden), Nathan, Noah; 11 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Dale (Judy) Wilde; brother-in-law, David (Kathy) Kumbier; sister-in-law, Beverly Kumbier; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special neighbors- Henke Family and Studinski Family.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert M; son, Gregory; parents, Alton and Rhea; sisters, Lois (Frank), Donna (Elvin) and Virginia (Harold); brothers-in-law, Darwin (Arlys), Dennis and Donald.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Nekimi Town Hall, from 3:00pm until it is finished. Please bring memories to share.
The family would like to recognize and thank her grandsons, Nathan and Kaleb as well as her Compassus Hospice Family- especially Jessica, Casey, Jenna and Chris for their care and compassion.
