David R. Korn, age 52, of Oshkosh, died at his residence on November 9, 2012, after a short battle with cancer. David was born on June 7, 1960, in Oshkosh, the son of Theo and Ruth (Inman) Korn. David served in the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. David married Jolene Larson on December 13, 1991. Before becoming ill David was employed at Sadoff and Rudoy Industries, in Oshkosh.
David was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, he also loved to fish, read, and help others.
Those left to mourn David's passing are his wife, Jolene, his mother, Ruth Korn, his children; daughters: Jessica Korn, and Sarah (Robert) Kruse, his sons; David Korn Jr., Shane Korn, and Brandon Korn, a step son Jamie (Missy) Larson. David also leaves behind his sisters: Cindy (Mark) Dulski, Jane (Paul) Olson, Patty (Charlie) Jankins, Alicia (Tim) Herides, Dawn (Lynn) Jensen, and Karrie (James) Johnson, and his brother, Tom (Wendy) Korn. David was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father Theo Korn.
A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2012 at Kaudy Hall, 230 N. 3rd Ave., Winneconne, WI at 6:00 P.M. with a Fraternal Order of the Eagle service at 7:00P.M. food and refreshments will be provided following the service. Casual attire is suggested.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Affinity Hospice for all the special care given to David during his illness and their support given to the family.
