Dr. David L. Wright, age 69 of 145 Oak St., Berlin, passed away August 24, 2004 at Juliette Manor in Berlin. He was born September 15, 1934 in Los Angeles, California to Norman and Margaret Moreland Wright. He went to school in California, did his undergraduate work at UCLA, then went on to earn a PhD in physiology at UCLA. He was a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, where he taught Human and Animal Physiology for approximately twenty years. He built the first computer in the department with components purchased from a heath kit. Even though he was brilliant, he was also down to earth. He greatly enjoyed reading and music and was self taught at the piano. After retirement he spent many hours volunteering his time with the Limberlost Animal Rehoming Cause, a dog rescue that he co-founded six years ago in Berlin, with his wife, Bonnie.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Berlin; his daughter Lois of California; stepdaughters Kristine of Oshkosh and Katherine ( Dave Gerczak) of Appleton and stepson Matthew of Oshkosh.
According to his wishes, a private family service was held. A memorial is being established.
