Obituary

Deanna Lee Hazen, best known as Dee to those who knew her, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center with her children, Becky Hazen (Scott Tobey) and Bernie Mueller, by her side.

Dee was born on August 26th, 1944, to Theda (Hunt) and Bernard Hazen, who preceeded her in death. She grew up in Oshkosh alongside seven sisters. Four of her sisters preceed her in death; Bonnie (Jim) Laughter, Linda (Fred) Ochowitz, Barbara (John) Andrashko, Mary (Cole) Miller, and she is survived by the other three; Patricia (Nick) Grose, Donna (Hans) Jensen and Sandy (Jack) Miller.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dee. She loved the peacefulness of gardening, the beauty of butterflies, the companionship of her beloved pets (Crosby, Sassy, Cuddles & Chloe), Sunday football, the taste of Coca Cola and the thrill of scratch off tickets. However, the thing that brought her the most happiness and what she was the best at, was being a grandmother. She is proceeded by her grandchildren, Britney (Tommy Stahl) Wyant, Brandon (Leah) Field, and Braden Mueller. Dee is also proceeded by her great grandchildren, Parker Field, Charlie Dee Stahl, and Olivia Stahl.

Deanna Lee Hazen was bold, courageous, and beautiful. Her laugh will be missed by many, and her love will be missed by all. These are all attributes that she was sure to instill in generations that followed. A celebration of life will be held at later date to be determined.
