Debra A. Scott, age 54 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at Bethel Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born at the US Naval Air Station in Quonset Point Rhode Island on August 26, 1954 the daughter of Martin and June Beck. Debra enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, and she loved animals, especially her beloved cat Baby. She lived in Oshkosh for the last ten years, working various jobs and really liked volunteering at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society until her illness prevented her from working. Debra always kept a positive attitude, and loved to laugh with her family. Her two daughters were her greatest joy. Survivors include her two daughters, Angela Beck and Amanda Scott both of Oshkosh, parents Martin and June Beck of Winneconne, one sister Marty (Vern) Birkholz, Oshkosh, one grandson Michael of California, one nephew Michael Henry, Oshkosh, one niece Janna (Tony) Tegone of Holbrook, NY., several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for Debra will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2009 at The Chapel of Faith and Life inside Bethel Home at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Dan Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held at the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Debra's name to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. The family would like to thank the Nurses and staff at Bethel Home and to Affinity Hospice for all of their compassionate care, especially Lori, Pat, and Chaplain Dan Edwards.
