Debra “Deb”’ Winkler, age 65, passed away after a brief illness on July 8, 2026, in Oshkosh, WI. She was born on August 19, 1960, to parents, Donald and Patricia Bednarek, in Oshkosh, WI.

On October 17, 1997, she married the love of her life, Richard Winkler. They spent many wonderful years together.

Deb had numerous jobs until she found the job that truly made her happy at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, where she worked until her retirement in May 2026.

She enjoyed traveling, going to casinos with her husband Dick, and riding in the country on their motorcycle. She loved connecting with others and never missed an opportunity to visit, whether over the phone or face-to-face. Her conversations brought joy to those who knew her.

Deb greatly enjoyed and loved spoiling her beloved dogs, Patches, Rocky, Mac and Frankie.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Winkler; stepchildren, Richelle Winkler and Chris (Sabrina) Winkler; brother, Paul (Diane) Bednarek; in-laws, Jeff (Bonnie), Sandy (Dan), Joan (Gordy), Patty (Ray), Jerry (Colleen), Becky (Darrin) and Rip (Meredith); niece, Nicole; as well as many other family members and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Donald and Patricia Bednarek; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Lois; and brother, Kenneth.

Per her wishes, no formal service will be held. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Winkler’s Westward Ho, 4905 County Hwy S, Oshkosh, WI, 54904.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Aurora Medical Center- Oshkosh, for all of their special care.
