Dennis Wayne Carlson, 65, Montello, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Milwaukee VA Center.
He was born on November 27, 1944 in Racine, the son of the late Virgil A.F. Carlson and Odile Kirby.
Dennis worked at Appleton Papers and later continued his career at Adesa Auto. He served in the Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. Part of his tour was spent in Yokosuka, Japan. He was also a member of the Portage Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1707. He was a member of Montello American Legion Post 351, and a member of Vietnam Vets of America.
He is survived by his son, Dennis Carlson, Jr. (Heide) of Pewaukee and daughter Tana Metzger-Carlson of Pardeeville; 4 granddaughters, Angelina Metzger, Madelyne and Jordyn Carlson, and Aaliyah Miller. Further surviving are brothers, sisters, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh on Monday, October 11, 2010 from Noon to 2:00 pm, with Funeral Service at 2:00 pm and Burial with Military Honors to immediately follow.
