Dennis C. Gunkel, age 82, passed away on April 3, 2024, at his residence. He was born on January 3, 1942, to parents, Clark and Mary (Berthold) Gunkel, in Wisconsin.
He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Gebhardt on January 20, 1962, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Together, they raised four children.
Dennis was a journeyman butcher for many years, most recently retiring from Pick 'n Save. He enjoyed fishing, gardening his own produce and flowers, and was a life-long Packers football fan.
He is survived by his children, Debra (Roger) Manock, Christine (Mark) Troudt, Craig (Stephanie) Gunkel and David (Heather) Gunkel; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; brother, James Gunkel; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was his wife and mother of his children, Sharon Gebhardt-Gunkel in 2016; mother; father; sister, Julie Bell; Parents-in-law; and brother-in-law, Jack Gebhardt.
Per his wishes, no services will be held.
