Diana L. Petri, age 72, of Oshkosh, died Thursday morning, February 25, 2016, at her home. Born on December 11, 1943, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Ray and Delores Miller Troxell, Diana married Harold Petri Jr. on August 25, 1962, in Oshkosh and he preceded Diana in death on July 12, 2012. First employed by American Excelsior and later a 20+ year employee of Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Diana, enjoyed time spent in her gardens, canning the produce, interior design projects, along with an occasional chance of luck at the Oneida Casino. Friends were a very important part of her life, as she kept many of them throughout her lifetime. Survivors include her two daughters, Rhonda (Michael) Olejnik and Kerry (Robert) Hoetschl, both of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Roan Suarez of Oshkosh, Kerby (Aaron) Kuehn of Eldorado, Wisconsin, and Ashton Young of Oshkosh; two great-grandchildren, Abagale and Jeremy; two sisters, Joan (Dan) Dadas and Gloria Duley, both of Oshkosh; a brother, Dennis (significate other, Dawn) Troxell of Oshkosh; and nieces and nephews. Diana is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother-in-law, Tom Duley. A special thank you to Diana's sister, Joan, her neighbor, Mary Thomas, Jimmy Petri, Lynda Schaffer, and the Affinity Hospice Nurses for their love and care of Diana during her illness. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fox Cities Cremation Service, 3026 Jackson Street, with Chaplain Phil Dewitt officiating. A time of visiting and support will be held on Friday from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the chapel.
