Donald "Don" Brunner, age 65, passed away on October 16, 2024, at his home in Oshkosh, WI, with his family by his side. He was born on March 29, 1959, in
Fairbanks, Alaska to Edward and Agatha (Erickson) Brunner.
After high school, he enlisted in the military. He proudly served as a
Midshipman from 1976 – 1979 in Cuba and Spain. On April 20, 2018, he married
Ronecka Baker in Oshkosh, WI.
For the last 20 years of his career, he worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute in multiple positions, retiring as a Power Plant Operator 3 years ago.
Don was an
avid motorcyclist, he also enjoyed playing cribbage, puzzles, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by
Ronecka Brunner (wife); David Brunner (son); Katrina Baker (stepdaughter); Joseph Baker (stepson); Madisen Brunner (granddaughter) and Hailey Brunner (granddaughter); Sandra & Norberto Adaglio (sister & brother-in-law); several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were
parents,
Edward Brunner and Agatha (Erickson) Brunner; and his brothers, Dale and Wayne Brunner.
A Celebration of Life will be held on
Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Retro's Pub 2015 Harrison St, Oshkosh, WI, 54901 from 2pm – 8pm.

Aurora Home Hospice Staff, especially Lisa P. RN, for their excellent care of Don over the past six months, and the close friends and immediate family of Don for their support and assistance whenever we needed.
