Donald R. Carnitz, age 83, a short term resident at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Don was born on June 28, 1927 in Milwaukee. He grew up in Milwaukee and spent much of his working life as a tool and die maker there. In his retirement, he moved to the Town of Poygan. Don was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during WWII on board the Enterprise.

Don is survived by his two daughters, grandchildren, his long time friend, Arlynn Jurkins, and his hunting and fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister and brother. Private services will be held for Don.
