Donald C. Laper passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Don was born in Markesan, WI on July 6, 1937, to Maurice and Margaret Laper. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison and graduated with a degree in Economics. Don worked in the Madison area as an investment broker for many years, a job at which he truly excelled.
He married his lovely wife, Carolyn, a teacher, on November 4, 1961, in Crivitz, WI. He and Carol built a cabin in Black River Falls, WI in 1987, doing the majority of the work themselves. They enjoyed many years there, and also wintered in Port Aransas, Texas from 2001 through 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, John Laper; daughter, Megan (Art) Sullivan; and seven wonderful grandchildren.
Don wishes to thank his Lord Jesus and all of his loving family for their support and comfort during this difficult time. At Don’s request, a family memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
