Obituary

Donald R. Muscavitch, age 72 of Winneconne, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 21, 2007. Don was born in Oshkosh, on January 7, 1935, the son of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Hoger) Muscavitch. His strong faith and words of thankfulness to God's goodness were evident and told to those around him. Don graduated from Winneconne High School in 1953, and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, and later married Sylvia Johnsen on September 21, 1957. He attended Appleton Technical Institute, and worked at Wikelund Wholesale and Palmer Sell Concrete until his retirement. Don was very interested in conservation, planting thousands of trees and building countless birdhouses of all kinds, and he attended Plymouth Congregational Church in Oshkosh. Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sylvia; his son, Mark, of Oshkosh; brother, Martin (Pearl) of Texas; aunt, Lucille (Larry) Kossel of Neenah; nephews, David (Katie) Muscavitch of Winneconne, Paul Muscavitch (Ann, Zachary, Jacob) of Oshkosh, niece, Marsha Sell of Minnesota; brother-in-law, Arvid (Kathy) Johnsen of Florida; sister-in-law, Elaine (Dennis) Kelly of New Mexico; and many dear friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by three little ones, aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service for Don will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2007, at 11:00 A.M., at Plymouth Congregational Church with Pastor Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services. A lunch in the Fellowship Hall will follow the service.
