Donna Mae Hayes, age 74, of Oshkosh, passed away at Theda Care Regional Medical Center on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was born in Larson, WI on May 30, 1941 the daughter of the late Birger and Murna (Stenson) Amundson. On June 15, 1963 she married William J. Hayes at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Berlin. Donna loved gardening, cooking, reading, dancing and keeping a spotless house. She also loved to travel throughout the United States and Canada with Bill. The family always enjoyed her traditional Christmas meals. Donna will be remembered for being a wonderful mother and grandmother. Donna is survived by her husband, Bill of 52 years; son, Bill (Leslie Nason) Hayes, Jr. of Oshkosh; Cheryl (Dave) Werba of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren: Casey and Kelsey Hayes of Oshkosh, Zachary and Austin Werba of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers: Richard, Kenneth and Donald Amundson; sisters: Louise Lee, Delores Domke and June Dobrynski; brothers-in-law: Dick Hayes, Raymond Decker and Rodney Schmidt; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Eileen Amundson, Sharon Schmidt, Marlene Decker, and Jeanette Gose; brother, Laverne (Ellie) Amundson; sisters-in-law, Nancy Amundson and Linda (Jim) Fox; The funeral service will be at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the chapel at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh. Friends and family will be received in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.Memorials in Donna's name may be given directly to Oshkosh Humane Society.
