Doris Alberta Fuhs, age 83, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, where she resided. She was born on November 13, 1927, in Oshkosh, WI, and was the third child of Albert and Dorothea (Kraetschmann) Fuhs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl Fuhs and George Fuhs; and by one nephew, Darrel Fuhs. She is survived by nephews, Jeff (Karen Packman) Fuhs of Oshkosh, Steve (Beverly) Fuhs of Seattle, WA, and Rich Fuhs of Beaverton, OR. Also surviving are nieces, Sarah (Tom Brusky) of Racine, WI, Cindy (Brad Hammitt) of Omaha, NE, and Donna (Joe Cocalis) of Point Marion, PA; eleven great nieces and nephews; eight great great nieces and nephews; and by one sister in law, Virginia Fuhs of Oshkosh.

Doris was confirmed in March 1941 at Peace Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Oshkosh High School. Her adult life was not a pleasant one as she dealt with having multiple sclerosis since the age of 17. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Doris will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
