We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dorothy Victoria Jendraszak, age 93, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin (formerly of Green Lake WI, Tinley Park IL, and Chicago IL). Dorothy passed on Friday February 7, 2025.
Dorothy was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 9th, 1931, and was raised by her mother, Victoria and father, Dominic Sosnowski. Growing up, she excelled academically while attending Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School, Fenger High School and Jones Commercial High School.
She married her husband, Leonard Jendraszak on June 2nd, 1951. They went on to raise their three children, Vicki, Michael and Diane.
Dorothy's life was full of so many fun and loving memories. As a dedicated Girl Scout leader for many years, she not only guided young minds but also created lasting memories. During her time in Tinley, she managed the local Karmelkorn Shoppe and enjoyed taking Sunday trips with her husband. Her Grandchildren always kept her busy with weekend visits, plenty of sleepovers, breakfast dates and so much more. She created so many happy memories for everyone in her life.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Victoria Herman (Walter), Michael (Terri), and Diane Bartlett (Kerry); and a wide circle of extended family and friends, including nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. They all loved their grandma deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Victoria Sosnowski; brothers, Dominic and Ed Sosnowski; and her beloved husband, Leonard Jendraszak.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family expresses their gratitude for the support during this time and cherishes the memories shared with Dorothy. Her legacy of creativity, adventure, and mentorship will forever be cherished.
