Dorothy G. Luethi, age 93, of Oshkosh, formerly of Waumandee Valley, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017. She was born in Barnesville, MN on June 27, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Matilda Boltz. On June 4, 1945 she married Gail Luethi in Waumandee, WI. She graduated from UW-Eau Claire where she earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in education and was very dedicated to teaching science at Cochrane-Fountain City, WI. Dorothy enjoyed collecting rocks, and was a very talented artist. Many of her paintings can be found as she enjoyed giving them as gifts. She was also known to make delicious chocolates. Dorothy will be remembered for her sharing personality and love for her family.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Luanne (Mike) Gospodarek of Oshkosh and Lois (Michael) Hudson of Lancaster; grandchildren: Scott and Angela (Nathan) Gospodarek, and Misty Notstad, Matt Hudson, and Jeff (Kari) Hudson; great-grandchildren: Reed, Graham and Finn Henderson, Brielle and Devon Notstad, and Keane, Gabe, Brynn and Ella Hudson; and sisters: Viola Henry, Mary (George) Cierzan, Beverly Durnen, and Joyce (Gene) Glomski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail; sister, Lucille Smith; and brothers: Ken, Vernon and John, Jr. Boltz.
A private inurnment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
