Eleanore M. Buechle, (nee Luka), age 91, died June 29, 2013, at Bridgewood, Neenah, WI., with her son Brian at her side. Eleanore was the daughter of Harry and Mary (Jach) Luka; she was born on July 27, 1921. She graduated from St. Mary High School in 1939. Eleanore worked for three years at American Can and enlisted in the WAAC right after Pearl Harbor, she completed basic training at Fort Des Moines. She was then sent to Midland Radio School in Kansas City, MO, after completing training she was assigned to Shaw Air Base, in Sumter, SC., as an air traffic controller. She met her one and only love Bob at Shaw Field and spent 14 wonderful years with him.
Eleanore was loved and will be deeply missed by her children; son Brian Buechle and her daughters; Laura Trevino, Christine (Randy) Calder, she will be further missed by her grandchildren; Jennifer Sicard, Jessica Sicard, and Jaime Kramer, great grandchildren; Hope Balthazor, Preston Kindness, Noah Kindness, Dayne Kramer, and Gabriel Kramer.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mary (Jach) Luka, her husband Robert, her daughter Barbara, her sister Emmeline Luka, brother Richard Luka, and great granddaughter Auriya Kindness.
Eleanore will be laid to rest on Monday July 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery.
