Elmer "Butch" Mathison Jr., age 75, passed away on November 18, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1948, son to the late Amber Urban and Elmer Mathison Sr. of Tigerton, Wisconsin. In 1978, he was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" Brendemuehl, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Shawano, Wisconsin.
Elmer had a strong work ethic. Growing up, he worked the farm and moved on to other skilled opportunities, until he found his passion as a Truch Driver, for over 24 years. He was a jack of all trades, and his carpenter skills were impeccable. He was a huge football and baseball fan. He loved to fish and hunt, and his favorite season was always deer hunting, which he looked forward to year after year.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of 45 years; his sisters, Sandy Laehn, Diane Ladwig, Barb Biertzer, Jodi (Kyle) Gunderson, and Mary Urban; his brothers, Leroy and Duane Buettner; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Brendemuehl; brothers-in-law, David Brendemuehl, and John (Donna) Brendemuehl; and further survived by numerous nieces; nephews; and family and friends.
Elmer is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Amber; and his sister, Darlene Becker.
Per his request, there will be no formal service, and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
He will be dearly missed.
