Eugene F. Yanko, age 90, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh on May 17, 1930 the son of the late Frank Yanko and Marie (Langkau) Sommers. He married Betty Graff in 1954, who preceded him in death on April 8, 1990. In 1993 he married Judith (Sweet) Ott in Illinois and they enjoyed many years of marriage. Gene was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving in the Pacific region. A highlight of his older years was participating in the Old Glory Honor Flight. Among his many careers, he was an insurance agent and a rural letter carrier. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, woodworking and playing cribbage with Judy. Gene will be remembered for his guidance, sense of humor and love for family.

Gene is survived by his wife, Judith; children: Stuart Yanko, Ruth Yanko and Sarah (Mike Anderson) Yanko; step-children: Michael (Lisa) Ott and Linda Ott; grandchildren: Leah Yanko; step-grandchildren: Matthew Ott, Abbey (Michael) Dugan, Megan Ryals and Carley Diermeier; and step-great-grandson, Michael Ott; and his sister, Beverly Paulson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and his parents.

It was Gene's wish to be cremated. The family will have private services.
