Obituary

We lost another hero from the Greatest Generation when George T. Bojar, age 91 of Oshkosh (formally of Milwaukee), passed away peacefully at his Oshkosh home in the presence of loved ones on Tuesday July 20, 2010. George was born to Anton and Laura Bojar in Milwaukee on March 28, 1919 where he lived until moving to Oshkosh in 2002. He spent the winter months in Panama City Beach, Florida with his wife Deloris (nee Vick) of 40 plus years, waking up to his beach every morning and watching his sunset every evening. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Deloris, adoring children, Dale, Robert (Candy) Bojar, Robin (Laurie) Jennings, Marie (Robert) Bett, Ray (Starlett) Jennings, Tina (Steve) Stenberg, amazing grandpa to Scott (Melissa), Traci, Kristi Jennings, Laura (Darrell) Smith, Timmy Beuth, Nicole (Derek) Jackson, Bobby Bett III, Megan (Jon) Hanusa, Steve Stenberg Jr., Heather (Sean) Reilly, Erin (Jason) and Courtney Stenberg, Calub (Kylie) Brunner, Terri (Jim) Walsh, Pat, Billy, and Jason Bojar. The twinkle in his eyes always came out when he saw and talked about his great-grandchildren Paige, Mia, Miles, Mikey, Lily, Cole, Ashlee, Brandon, Alyssa, his newest Gracie and soon to come Lucus, leaving behind sister Natalie (Ken) Sawitzke, sister-in laws Sue Bojar, Joan (Robert) Kraft and Judy (Bill) Kramer, numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brothers, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and daughter-in-law Connie. Grandpa is also going to join his youngest grandson and buddy Kyle Stenberg who passed away four months to the day. Kyle needed to go ahead of him to make sure Heaven was ready for the worlds Greatest Grandpa. A Funeral Mass for George will be held on Saturday July 24, 2010 at 3:00 pm at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church ( 830 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh) with Father Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Mass. A special thank you to Affinity Hospice for their kindness and support. Grandpa you were one of the kindest, gentlest, loving and supportive person we have ever known. You will stay in our hearts and we will always love you forever. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Rest in Peace behind the Gates of Heaven.
