Gerald B. Reynolds, age 77 of Oshkosh, passed away very peacefully at home with his very loyal wife Thelma at his side, on February 22, 2008. He was born on September 14, 1930 the son of Bert and Margaret Angell Reynolds. Gerald married Thelma Chapin at the Salvation Army on November 20, 1948. He owned and operated G & T Trucking of Berlin, until his retirement in 1989, and later returned to drive truck for his son Roy. Gerald enjoyed fishing, camping in the northwoods, traveling around the country, and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma Reynolds of Oshkosh; four children, Roy (Jean) Reynolds, Suring,WI, Joy (Al) Schanowski, Fond du Lac, Trudy Reynolds, Grass Valley, CA, and Denee Reynolds, Wautoma; grandchildren, James and Kish Herrmann, Sussex, WI, Matthew and Terah Johnson, Nathan Reynolds, Wautoma, Hannah Reynolds, Redgranite, Mindy Schanowski, Oshkosh, Amanda and Andrew Liller, Ashley and Alyssa Wille, Grass Valley CA, Dennis Weeks, Oshkosh, Deseree Gruse, Berlin, and Kevin Rohde, Wautoma, thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and his many friends at Simeana Apartments. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roy Reynolds, one sister, Betty Siradas Kinitater, and three grandchildren, Scott Schanowski, David Weeks, and Rebecca Reynolds. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2008 at The Chapel of Faith and Life, inside of Bethel Home (225 N. Eagle St.) at 3:00 p.m., with the Chaplain Cathie Vander Velden officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. A special thank you to the Oshkosh Fire and Rescue, and the Emergency Room staff at Mercy Medical Center for all the care and compassion that was given to Gerald and his family.
