Gerald "Jerry" Scherr, 87, passed away on November 30, 2025. He was born in Iron River, Michigan on January 17, 1938, to parents, Dorothy and Orville.
Jerry enjoyed working on old cars, restoring old tractors, woodworking and carving, and loved being in the outdoors and spending time in nature. He shared many of these interests and hobbies with his grandson, Bill. Jerry worked for the City of Oshkosh Street Department for 30 years. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and made fast friends with the neighbors, especially longtime friend, Steve Folske.
He is survived by the love of his life for 47 years, Alice Winkel; children, Laura Scherr, Linda (Jerry) Tritt, Cindy Scherr and Bonnie Wojahn; Alice's children, Joe Winkel and Sheila (Michael) Pulice; and many other friends and family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Jack and Keith Vienola; step-father, Tom Vienola; and great-grandson, Delton Weber.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
