Goodwin W. "Goody" Peterson, age 63, of Oshkosh, passed away Sept. 21, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1953 in Ashland, WI, the son of Edwin and Florence (Gunderson) Peterson. Goody graduated from Marion High School and attended University of WI Stevens Point and Fox Valley Technical College. He enjoyed golfing, music, and attending concerts. Watching sports, especially the Packers, Badgers and the Brewers was one of his favorite past times. He had a deep appreciation and love of dogs, especially Olaf, his golden retriever.Goody had worked as a Psychiatric Care Technician at Winnebago State Hospital for a number of years and later retired from the Wisconsin Resource Center. He is survived by his brothers, Jerald, Randy (Bobbi), and Dennis; niece, Jada Hoppe-Alloway; great nephew, Loren; great niece, Avalon; other relatives and many friends. Goody's memory will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh at 11:00 A. M. Friends may call at the cemetery chapel beginning at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
